Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the blue website and services (collectively, the "Service") operated by blue ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service description

blue is a stock scoring and financial education platform that provides informational analysis of publicly traded securities based on publicly available financial data. The Service includes stock grading tools, a portfolio tracker, a watchlist, educational content, and AI-generated summaries (available on paid plans).

2. Not financial advice

blue is an informational tool only. All scores, grades, letter ratings, AI-generated summaries, portfolio analyses, and any other content provided by the Service are for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on this platform constitutes financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. You should not make any investment decision based solely on information provided by blue. Always consult a licensed financial professional before making investment decisions. Past scores or performance indicators do not guarantee future results.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • Not share your account credentials with any third party.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the Service or other users.

5. Blueprint (paid plan) and payments

blue offers a one-time "Blueprint" founding-member plan that unlocks additional features, currently including AI-generated stock summaries and AI portfolio analysis. By purchasing Blueprint, you agree to the following:

  • Founding-member access. Blueprint is a one-time purchase that grants access for the operational lifetime of the Service. As a founding member, you will continue to have access to the paid features included in Blueprint at no additional recurring charge, even if we later introduce subscription pricing for those features for new users.
  • What "permanent" and "lifetime" mean. References to "permanent," "lifetime," or "yours permanently" mean for the operational lifetime of the Service. They do not guarantee that the Service, any particular feature, or blue itself will remain available indefinitely (see "Availability and changes to the Service" below).
  • New products. We may introduce new products, features, or add-ons that are offered separately and are not part of the Blueprint founding benefit. The founding benefit covers the paid features included in Blueprint, not every future offering.
  • Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment processor. By completing a purchase, you also agree to their terms.
  • Refunds. All sales are final and we do not offer refunds for Blueprint purchases, except where a refund is required by applicable law. Access is granted immediately upon purchase.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing and the features offered to new or future customers at any time. Changes in pricing will not retroactively charge customers who have already purchased Blueprint.
  • Blueprint is tied to your account, is non-transferable, and may only be used by the account holder.

Availability and changes to the Service. We may modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service — including individual features or the Service as a whole — at any time, with or without notice. While we intend to honor founding-member access for the operational lifetime of the Service, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or perpetual availability of the Service or any feature. If we permanently discontinue the Service, your access will end, and except where required by applicable law, we will not be obligated to provide a refund for any one-time purchase.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access or extract data from the Service at scale.
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit scores, grades, or any other data generated by the Service.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the scoring methodology or proprietary algorithms used by the Service.
  • Upload or transmit any malicious code, viruses, or other harmful content.
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.

7. Intellectual property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to the scoring methodology, software, text, graphics, and branding — are owned by blue and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property beyond this limited license.

8. Data accuracy disclaimer

Financial data is sourced from third-party market data providers and is provided "as is." We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any financial data, scores, or analysis provided by the Service. Market data may be delayed, incomplete, or contain errors. You use all data and scores entirely at your own risk.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY REGARDING THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF ANY FINANCIAL DATA OR ANALYSIS PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BLUE AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FINANCIAL LOSSES, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, OR INVESTMENT DECISIONS MADE BASED ON INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $10 IF YOU HAVE NOT MADE ANY PAYMENTS.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless blue and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason. You may delete your account at any time via account settings. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any paid plan fees. Sections 2, 7, 9, 10, and 11 of these Terms shall survive termination.

13. Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

16. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, make up the entire agreement between you and blue regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
